EV's Etherera Records to close. [Stupefaction]

"Fashiony" and "downtown-looking" could describe the new LES--rather "esque" in general, a simulation of what was--and that's exactly what the fashiony, downtown-looking people want. [NYO]

That vacant lot on East 13th Street once housed the rear of the Jefferson Theater that was on 14th Street. The Millstein real estate family had it demolished and then got into a family squabble that has prevented anything else from taking place on that lot.

Just before it was destroyed, workers stripping the Jefferson of its artifacts let me in to take a look. It was beat up, but I could see how beautiful it once was and how it could have been restored.

I've walked past that old school pimpin' car many times on 13th, always want to see who owns it.
