You may remember miniaturist Randy Hage from an interview I did with him a year ago. Now he sends in his latest work--a Lilliputian version of the beloved Ideal Hosiery shop of Grand Street.

In the future, will someone make miniatures of Trump Tower or an Apple Store? BTW, last p.m. on BBC News Radio, they did a segment on how Bloomberg is changing NYC. No smoking. No soda purchases with "entitlement" monies, etc. No excitement. To appropriate JVNY parlance: the Big Apple has become the Big Cupcake! When will we see a statue of Mary Poppins in the harbor?

Woulda been tough if not for the first/top picture!
Great stuff.
I really like Randy's work. Thanks for featuring him.
And it's the photo in the middle right?
Do you have an update on his show?
He does fantastic work, I loved the video, thanks for posting it. I for one would love it if he'd do one of Mars Bar for a lasting memory.
Goggla, i think you're thinking of the other miniaturist i interviewed here--Alan Wolfson. his Canal St. piece is up until Sept 18.

thanks for the reminder!
Marty, a Mars Bar mini would be perfect.
Anon, i dread the day when someone is so nostalgic for the Apple store.
@Jeremiah - thanks, I was confused! Love both sets of miniatures...will check out the show.
