Seeing Double

When I walk up Second Avenue in the East Village, through the frat-bar gauntlet, I get an overwhelming feeling of deja vu.

It's not the pig. It's not the memory of vanished Dick's Bar. It's something else...I can't quite put my finger on it...

Can anybody help me figure out why something here seems so strangely familiar?

And I thought it was the Pig. Didn't he used to be on the wall at LaGuardia Pl. above Houston St. or was it First Ave at Houston St.?

2nd Ave. between 9th and 14th is should be renamed Massengill Alley it's so full of douche dives. One of the worst is the sportsdouchebar that now reeks in the place of Telephone Bar. We all know to just avoid the avenues on weekend nights, but the hoards on 2nd. Ave are particularly gross. The uberdouche who no doubt thought it'd be "old school" to copy the McSorleys sign out to be rounded up with the rest of em and stuffed in the woodchipper head-first.
