*Everyday Chatter

Snow Penis returns. Last week, Grieve discovered on 7th and B, here and here, two examples of snow graffiti on cars, featuring a drawing of a penis and the word penis. Yesterday, the following example turned up on a car at 11th St and 6th. Based on scant evidence, keep on the lookout for what is likely a white male, Floridian, football fan, in his 20s who may be resentful of the fact that he doesn't have his car in the city:

Old Devil Moon's owner, Miss Tami, writes in here to say thanks to all and give the new owners a chance, Masturbakers is seeking a new home, plus "If there’s anything from the walls you're interested in, drop me a note." Who's got dibs on the nifty train set?

Hmmm...do you think it's the same penistrator...? The stroke looks a little different. And why the change in size?

while I was in the Caribbean--my best friend's younger daughter had a sweet 16 party in the EV and then the whole group went to Stingy Lulu's --they had the best time--the lives were changed forever--glad they went--about 4 years ago Stingy Lulu's was still standing tall!!!Gone but not forgotten by the next generation of coolness.

Hey, that doesn't look like it says "penis", it looks like "prius", a in the type of car it is drawn on...

To be honest with you those before-and-after shots of 49th and 7th aren't nearly as bad as I thought they would be. All the storefronts aside from Tad's Steaks have since changed but the only big chain to muscle its way onto the block since 1990 has been a Sbarro's. All the other storefronts look like small-time trinket stores. Nothing to get excited about but far better than what's happening to other blocks in this city. The only really obscene aspect of those photos are the massive billboards obscuring the entire facades of the buildings.

Don't rule out construction workers as potential penistrators.
