Yonah Shimmel's 110th

On Sunday March 15, the great Yonah Shimmel knishery will celebrate 110 years in business on the Lower East Side. The first 110 knishes will sell for $1.10 each.

Go get 'em! And grab a delicious egg cream while you're at it.

Thank god it's still around.
Bloomberg's efforts haven't turned Manhattan into a complete wasteland yet.

Due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus, Yonah Schimmel is postponing the celebration of it's anniversary 2 weeks, to Sunday March 29th at noon. We hope everyone can join us to celebrate this unique restaurant and the immigrant experience in the United States. As Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote, "Immigrants, we get the job done!"

Well, as one would imagine, that March 29th date is shot. We've postponed the celebration indefinitely, pending a resume to normal life. When that happens, we'll announce a new date. In the meantime, Yonah Schimmel is open for take-out for NYC residents. For those outside the area, we are shipping across the country through Goldbelly.com. Please be safe and stay negative!
