La Contenta, a Mexican restaurant "with French accents," has another location on the Lower East Side.

Isn't this good news? La Contenta is a much smaller business than the chain which operated French Roast.
It's just generic now. A bland mix of IKEA-like counters and chairs with some of the old pieces that they couldn't completely destroy. The golden light feeling is gone. Not an imaginative experience any more at all. I'm sure we won't be missed, but we won't be going there.
