The Sock Man is grumpy, but like Chloe, I love the place anyway. They have almost anything one might need in socks, tights, or stockings.

However, this dude is not the original Sock Man. I recall from my juvenile delinquent days on St Marks in the late 80s, the original Sock Man, who was very nice, was across the street. He even gave me free socks a few times. You can see him for a few seconds in that ridiculous Billy Joel video, A Matter of Trust.

I really like the stuff that you write. Your so creative and such a good photogropher too. I dont normally just randomly tell people that they are pretty great. And you are definitely great at writing and photography. But you probably already know that. I am new to this blogging website and i really liked reading what you said about writing an obituary about the dieing city. You are deep, which is really cool. I can never find people who have this type of a view on life and it is interesting to read what you have posted.
