You may remember miniaturist Randy Hage from an interview I did with him a year ago. Now he sends in his latest work--a Lilliputian version of the beloved Ideal Hosiery shop of Grand Street.

Can you tell the real Ideal from the miniature? Visit Randy's flickr page for the answer and to see more incredible details of this artwork.

In the future, will someone make miniatures of Trump Tower or an Apple Store? BTW, last p.m. on BBC News Radio, they did a segment on how Bloomberg is changing NYC. No smoking. No soda purchases with "entitlement" monies, etc. No excitement. To appropriate JVNY parlance: the Big Apple has become the Big Cupcake! When will we see a statue of Mary Poppins in the harbor?

ReplyDeleteAnd it's the photo in the middle right?
Do you have an update on his show?
ReplyDeleteHe does fantastic work, I loved the video, thanks for posting it. I for one would love it if he'd do one of Mars Bar for a lasting memory.
ReplyDeleteGoggla, i think you're thinking of the other miniaturist i interviewed here--Alan Wolfson. his Canal St. piece is up until Sept 18.
