Am repulsed and horrified by this Algonquin-to-Marriott conversion. There's clearly no stopping this shit, and all my anger is giving way to feelings of despair. I despair for New York and this whole idiot fucking country.
ReplyDeleteThe "Autograph Collection" is a group of unbranded independent hotels that Marriott promotes. I doubt much will change in the way of its decor or operation, unless Marriott corporate standards exceed something they're doing now.
ReplyDeleteThe Algonquin was connected to Westin/Starwood in the late 80s/early 90s, and it seems to have gotten through that relatively unscathed.
