  1. Something smells .......
Why do I get the impression that a Disney Chinatown is on the boards? Maybe it will include a high-line?
Condos for the homeless elicits memories when housing the homeless meant putting them in hotels at outrageous rates; the pols helped their real estate buddies. If they can't sell those condos, well help them again.

  2. Jeremiah do you still think that whole side of the block will go or just that one, one-story building. Looks like there is still enough life/activity in the rest of those buildings.

  3. I told you they were going to turn the empty housing into affordable housing and homeless shelters... this is gonna be awesome, watch values crash and owners start lighting "accidental" fires to get their money back from insurance companies.

  4. re: 10th st--there is a holdout owner whose building is in between all of this. i think as long as s/he holds out, it will be just this one-story building and possibly the very nice townhouse next to it that will be demolished.

  5. You know, a few weeks ago I saw a few guys lugging a compressor into that townhouse next door. They disappeared before I could snap a pic. It was a construction style one. Could the rodent baiting have been done in anticipation of a renovation? I guy can dream right?
