We live vicariously out here at times, enjoying some of life's funky edges through others in bigger spaces. I love this story for many aspects, including the fact that my 80+ years young Aunt sent it to me! However, I am concerned as both my father and brother were dentists and believe me had no idea the three of them have so much in common. Perhaps there is explanation for some of the missing teeth! Rick is a jewel in the family and I'm glad others appreciate him as well.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-683382864156505640.post-85070768096303779642009-04-22T21:42:00.000-04:002009-04-22T21:42:00.000-04:00This is Rick's sister. This tale reminds me of a Joe Mitchell piece - "Hit on the Head with a Cow" - about an old sea captain who keeps a personal 'museum' of things on W 59th St. These are the people who are the heart of NYC.Laura Goggin Photographyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15517481509431547970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-683382864156505640.post-82268797713222676992009-04-18T23:59:00.000-04:002009-04-18T23:59:00.000-04:00thanks. glad i could fill in the mystery for you!thanks. glad i could fill in the mystery for you!Jeremiah Mosshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11791516443125872364noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-683382864156505640.post-28534614362018820102009-04-18T21:00:00.000-04:002009-04-18T21:00:00.000-04:00This is great. I grew up in that neighborhood, on Perry Street between West 4th & Bleeker. I now live in California. Whenever I go back, i am amazed at the changes.

I also lamented the demise of Second Childhood last year. My mom and Van Dexter were longtime acquaintances in the neighborhood.

Love your blog. Keep up the good work.

Stephaniestephotohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05845043869720081471noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-683382864156505640.post-1046087308652310242009-04-18T02:12:00.000-04:002009-04-18T02:12:00.000-04:00Thanks for introducing Rick.
