That was the first news-stand to get it. Long before Internet and Craigslist, the Voice was the only publication you could use to find a reasonably priced apartment downtown. So the very first pages one would peruse were the "Apartments For Rent". After framing and circling all potential ads which you were going to call in the morning, you then would invariably go to the front of the paper and read Feiffer and Stan Mack. Those were the glory days of the VV. Thanks for countless laughs, Stan Mack. You definitely had a golden ear for the spirit (and bullshit) of that era. Great interview, Jeremiah. You just keep getting better and better.Uncle Waltiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07611991976897184311noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-683382864156505640.post-25821280937267472522013-07-08T14:34:35.545-04:002013-07-08T14:34:35.545-04:00This is wonderful! I always say that I miss the old overheard NYC conversations, which were so much deeper and meaningful (or hilariously pretentious) than the whiny overheard one-sided cell phone chat we are now subjected to.Richiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08409423195179789613noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-683382864156505640.post-38004353578624218332013-07-08T12:31:18.516-04:002013-07-08T12:31:18.516-04:00Great interview!Great interview!Marty Wombacherhttp://www.meanwhilebackinpeoria.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-683382864156505640.post-14429564134758699962013-07-08T11:55:54.333-04:002013-07-08T11:55:54.333-04:00Thanks - what a great interview.
