I've been taking photos of NYC doors for about 7 years (I thought I was an original!). Check out my website - doorjamsnyc.com. With the rapid pace of gentrification upon us it seems to me that ALL of New York (save the dwellings of the super rich (i.e.: Beekman, Sutton Place, etc.) is "vanishing".allanhttp://doorjamsnyc.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-683382864156505640.post-46937868015413305422013-06-13T01:22:42.065-04:002013-06-13T01:22:42.065-04:00Do you remember that French movie aways back (1976...Do you remember that French movie aways back (1976) with the magnificent Romy Schneider, A Woman at Her Window (Une femme a sa fenetre)? These pictures put me in mind of that movie, without the "her" or "sa" (how about "the" or "la")? Windows, doors, as two-way views, paths, between discrete and unique individuals who share, in their criss-crossed ways. A wonderful way to think about the richness of many things, including city life. mchnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-683382864156505640.post-13330785989643962042013-06-12T16:01:00.477-04:002013-06-12T16:01:00.477-04:00Fantastic!Fantastic!onemorefoldedsunsethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05995652957356064546noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-683382864156505640.post-79490355838173811942013-06-12T14:36:17.972-04:002013-06-12T14:36:17.972-04:00Holy Mackerel, what a project. And the post office door on Church Street looks like the entrance to a twin-spire apartment building on Central Park West.<br />Yes, hours of gazing will go by, but thanks for you and your reader for bringing these to greater attention.BabyDavehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04751432569519540728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-683382864156505640.post-72040424132341560532013-06-12T11:21:26.200-04:002013-06-12T11:21:26.200-04:00Brilliant...and thank you for sharing this Jerry. ...Brilliant...and thank you for sharing this Jerry.
