No-Shoe Rules

Today, the Grumbler is complaining about no-shoe rules and wondering if it's another California trend come to New York. [Grumbler]

Kevin Walsh said...: I never like to go without shoes, even in the house where I have an old pair that I wear.

That said I have no idea how people wear sandals in NYC, with all the trash, spit and dog crap in the streets. I wear thick soled shoes at all times outdoors.

Then again, I'm always vaguely uncomfortable in summer because I can't wear a jacket.
